Why God
Why God

Why, God?

When life doesn’t make sense, the question rises: why, God? A gentle reflection on staying with God even without answers.

Sometimes the question rises
before we can stop it.

Why, God?

Not as a challenge.
Not as an argument.

But as something honest…
from a place that hurts.

When things don’t make sense.
When something breaks
that should have held.

When prayers seem to fall
quietly to the ground.

We ask.

And often,
we don’t receive an answer.

Not a clear one.
Not one that settles the ache.

And in that silence,
another question begins to form.

Not spoken out loud—
but felt, deeply.

Are You still here?

Because sometimes
the hardest part is not the pain itself—

but the feeling
that we might be facing it alone.

But what if the question itself
is not something to be avoided?

What if it is a doorway?

A place where we stop pretending
we understand.

A place where we come honestly,
without answers,
without certainty.

Not to solve anything.

But to remain.

To bring the question
into the presence of God
instead of away from Him.

There is something quiet
but deeply true here:

God is not threatened
by your why.

He does not turn away
when you don’t understand.

He does not require clarity
before you can come close.

Even Jesus, in His own suffering,
asked a question that echoed through the dark.

Not because He lacked faith.

But because He was fully present
in the weight of what He was carrying.

And still…
He remained.

This is not about having answers.

It is about not leaving.

Staying with God
in the place where things don’t make sense.

Staying
when the questions remain unanswered.

Staying
when trust feels quieter than it used to.

You do not have to understand
to stay.

And you do not have to silence your questions
to be held.

So if the question rises—
Why, God?

you can let it.

And instead of turning away…

you can bring it with you.

What if your question
is not pushing God away…
but leading you closer than you thought?
