God Chose You Anyway

God knew every part of your story—and chose you anyway. A gentle reflection on love, identity, and being deeply wanted.

Before the beginning,
before breath, before becoming—
there was a knowing.

Not a distant awareness,
but an intimate one.

He knew the places you would struggle.
He knew the questions you would carry.
He knew the moments you would feel far,
and the ways you might wander.

And still… He chose.

Not reluctantly.
Not with hesitation.
But with a quiet, unwavering yes.

Creation was not an accident.
And you are not an afterthought.

You were not made with surprise attached—
as though God would one day discover
who you turned out to be.

He knew.

And love did not turn away.

We often tell the story as though
God had to respond to us—
as though the cross was a reaction
to something gone wrong.

But what if love had already made provision
for our return…
before we ever took a step away?

What if the heart of God
was never caught off guard—
only revealed?

This is the quiet wonder of Easter:

Not just that we were forgiven,
but that we were wanted—
even knowing everything.

There is nothing you have done
that was not already seen.

Nothing you carry
that surprised Him.

Nothing in your story
that made Him reconsider
the gift of your life.

God chose you anyway.

Not because you would get it right.
Not because you would be easy to love.

But because love—real love—
does not withdraw when it is costly.

It draws near.

And perhaps the invitation is not
to fully understand this…

but to let it soften something within you.

To release the quiet fear
that you might be too much,
or not enough,
or somehow a regret.

You are not a regret.

You are a choice.

A deliberate one.

Held, from the very beginning,
in the heart of God.

What begins to change…
when you let yourself believe
you were chosen anyway?
